ART IN ISLAND

Sunday, June 07, 2015

When Art in Island opened last December 2014 in Cubao, Quezon City, people started to flock to the museum and pictures of them interacting with the 3D artworks began to pop up in social media. I remember seeing a lot in Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Other people's photos with the 3D paintings made me jealous so I forced my beau to come with me to the museum. (Ofcourse, he had no choice but to go with me. Haha!)

Art in Island owns the most number of 3D paintings that's why it is branded as the largest 3D museum in Asia :) But, in terms of land area, the 3D museum in Jeju Island wins.

The museum was founded by a Korean man named Yun Jae Kyoung, along with his other Korean colleagues. Also, all the paintings in the museum was worked on for 4 months by a total of 14 Korean 3D artists.

The artworks are all impressive to look at and interact with. You just have to take photos from the right vantage point to really see the 3D effect :) There are actually signs on the floor of the museum that indicate where to take excellent photos of the painting.

If you're planning to go in Art in Island, you must prepare your best poses. You just don't stand and smile beside the paintings.. you become part of it! :)
